Jasmeet Kaur, MD, FACP is a Gastrointestinal Medical Oncologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, specializing in geriatric oncology, hepatobiliary cancer and neuroendocrine tumors. She was drawn to oncology in medical school, realizing that “cancer patients not only need care from a physician, but the entire family is involved in patient care.”
Her clinical research is focused on improved efficacy for treatment strategies while improving quality of life, especially for older adults.
“The future of GI oncology lies in individualized care, integrating molecular profiling, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and novel drug combinations,” she says. “We may have higher survival expectations and more options available for these patients.”
