Ahmed Aly Hussein Aly, MD
Dr. Aly was appointed to the faculty at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2020. He serves in the Department of Urology and in the Applied Technology Laboratory for Advanced Surgery (ATLAS) program.
Dr. Aly attended Cairo University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt where he earned his medical degree (2007). He subsequently completed his internship in Surgery and Medicine (2008) and residency in Urology (2012) at Cairo University Hospitals in Egypt. He completed a Pediatric Urology Fellowship in Cairo University (2013) and the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) of London, United Kingdom (2013).
Dr. Aly was awarded the prestigious Société Internationale d’Urologie-University of California, San Francisco (SIU-UCSF) research fellowship in Urologic Oncology (2014). He joined the Urologic Oncology fellowship program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2015, first as a research fellow then as a clinical fellow. He completed the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship in 2019.
Dr. Aly specializes in the care of patients genitourinary cancers and provides expertise in both robot-assisted and open operative approaches. Dr. Aly also provides care for complications associated with radical cancer surgery, including erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Aly has authored and co-authored many peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and abstracts on genitourinary oncology topics. He serves as a reviewer for multiple journals, including Journal of Urology, Urology Practice, and Urologic Oncology.
Dr. Aly is a member of the American Urologic Association (AUA), Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO), Egyptian Urological Association (EUA), Societie Internationale d’Urologie (SIU) and Royal College of Surgeons, UK (RCS).
